Forever
Changed -
The Miracle of Becoming a New Creation
in Christ Jesus
|
Have you gone through a time of trial or blessing that
you consider “life-changing”? Many things
can cause us to feel as though our lives are somehow different, but none
are as powerful as what we experience when we become Christians. From the moment that we accept Jesus
Christ as our Savior and Lord, our lives are forever transformed.

Believers gain
even more that assurance of eternal salvation – followers of Christ
experience a complete life change
(2 Corinthians
5:16-17)
- The sins of our past are forgiven (2
Corinthians 5:21)
- We are new creatures in Christ (2
Corinthians 5:17)
- We walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4)
- We put on a “new self” (Ephesians 4:24,
Colossians 3:10)
Jesus came to
reconcile the world to the Father (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). As a result, those who follow God will
begin to reflect His will, His work, and His ways in greater measure.
- Our minds are being renewed by the Word of
God (Romans 12:2)
- We walk in accordance with the leading of
the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:19-25)
- We will function in the wisdom of man (James
3:13-18)
- We will live according to the teachings of
Jesus (Colossians 2:6)
As believers and
new creations, we are ambassadors for the Lord, and we have a calling that is
eternal (2 Corinthians 5:20)
- We have Christ in us, the hope of eternity
with Jesus (Colossians 1:27)
- We press on to the goal of eternity with
Jesus (Philippians 3:8-14)
